A large contingent of senior men, including several members of the local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 979, meet at Arby’s in Colonial Heights every morning. So, when store manager Kathy Evans — her son is an Army veteran — had the opportunity to designate a recipient for charitable donations by her customers, VVA was an easy choice. She and her dedicated staff collected donations for a month. Arby’s customers at the Colonial Heights location contributed nearly $4,000 for the chapter.
